KB45774: "This is a notification that your MicroStrategy implementation may be out of compliance with your software license agreement." error message appears when logging in the 3-tier Tutorial project in a newly installed MicroStrategy Analytics Suite.

Article outline the cause of the notification message "This is a notification that your MicroStrategy implementation may be out of compliance with your software license agreement".

SYMPTOM:
"This is a notification that your Strategy implementation may be out of compliance with your software license agreement." error message appears when logging in the 3-tier Tutorial project.


"This is a notification that your Strategy implementation may be out of 
compliance with your software license agreement. The number of named users 
licensed for at least one product has been exceeded. In 14 days, end users 
will receive an out of compliance warning message."

CAUSE:
There are more pre-defined users in an existing Tutorial Project than what Strategy Analytics Suite is licensed for. So the Out of Compliance message is as expected.
ACTION:
Modify users or their privileges according to the out of compliance message to get the compliance back. Or configure the Intelligence Server to a newly created metadata, and then manually run a compliance check in License Manager.
