Community Admin

• Strategy

Drill down from Report Services document to grid report moves Derived Metric from View evaluation order to Data Set level.

SYMPTOM:
When drilling from a Report Services document to a report, the evaluation order of Derived Metrics is moved from the View evaluation order to the Data Set evaluation order.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Follow the steps below to reproduce the issue with the Strategy Tutorial project:

  • Create a source report using Developer.
    Attribute: Year
    Metric: Cost
  • Insert a Derived metric (e.g. Cost * 2)

  • Note that newly created Derived Metric is in "View evaluation order"
  • Save and close the report.
  • Create a new Report Services document with “Blank Document” template. Use  the report from step 4 as a dataset.
