This technote

SYMPTOM:
On Strategy Enterprise Manager console 9.x., when configuring projects for data load, the old project name is still seen on the console for a recently renamed project. Strategy Desktop (Strategy Developer 9.4.0 and later) shows the correct name as indicated in the following screenshots. Strategy Enterprise Manager console shows the old project name 'Dup Strategy Tutorial', whereas as Strategy Desktop shows the new project name 'Strategy Tutorial'

CAUSE:
This issue can be seen when a project is renamed from Strategy Command Manager using a script similar to the script given below.

ALTER PROJECT "Dup Strategy Tutorial" NAME "Strategy Tutorial";

The project reference saved in the server definition object does not get renamed correctly when a project is renamed from Command Manager. Strategy Enterprise Manager console lists the projects by getting the project references list from the active server definition; hence the old project name is seen on the console.

An issue has been logged so that Strategy Command Manager renames the project correctly. Contact Strategy Technical Support for an update on this issue.

WORKAROUND
This issue is not seen when the project is renamed from Strategy Desktop 9.3.x.(Strategy Developer 9.4.x). To fix the inconsistency for already renamed projects, perform the steps below:

  1. From Strategy Desktop 9.3.x (Strategy Developer 9.4.x), rename the project to some temporary name.
  2. Again, from Strategy Desktop 9.3.x (Strategy Developer 9.4.x), rename the project to the required name. With this, the project name and the project reference name in the server definition object will be the same.

The Strategy Internal reference number for the issue discussed in this technical note is 831188.
