KB45995: "Object with ID xxx and type 22 (Schema) is not found in metadata" error occurs when attempting to move a folder across projects in MicroStrategy Object Manager 9.3.0.

SYMPTOM:

When trying to migrate a folder from one project to another in Strategy Object Manager 9.3.0, the following error occurs:

ka02R000000kcicQAA_0EM440000002CTF.png

Object with ID 'xxx' amd type 22 (Schema) is not found in metadata. It may have been deleted.

On checking the folder contents, it does not contain any schema objects but only application objects such as regular reports. It does not contain any freeform SQL or query builder reports.

CAUSE:

One possible cause of this error message is that there is an invalid reference to a schema object which no longer exists in a freeform SQL or query builder report being used within a filter in one of the reports in the folder. In order to track down the cause of this behavior, customers encountering this issue should make note of Schema-related changes, Object Migrations, or error messages prior to experiencing the problem. Change Journaling, if it has been enabled, can help in preserving this information.

ACTION:

Contact Strategy Technical Support for steps to resolve this issue.
