SYMPTOM:
When editing a Dynamic date filter in a view filter from grid view in Strategy Analytics Enterprise 9.4.1, users may encounter the following error:

.

Object Second Class has already been deleted or is in an invalid state.

This error typically occurs when the view filter that the user is attempting to edit has previously been edited in Grid view.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Follow these steps to reproduce the issue in a Strategy Tutorial Project:

  1. Create a new report with Day and Profit.  In design view add a dynamic date filter to the view filter:  "Day where ID Between Day 1 of the month of (today minus 36 Month(s)) AND Day 1 of the month of (Today minus 24 Month(s))"
  2. Execute the report
  3. In grid view change the condition in the view filter to: "Day where ID Between Day 1 of the month of (today minus 36 Month(s)) AND Day 1 of the month of (Today minus 23 Month(s))"
  4. Execute the report again
  5. In grid view click on the "Day 1 of the month of (Today minus 23 Month(s))" part of the filter.  And then the error message will be shown.

CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy Analytics Enterprise 9.4.1.

WORKAROUND:
Instead of attempting to edit the view filter in grid view as described in step 5 above, put the report back into design view before editing the view filter.
