KB46224: How to create a Mobile Configuration for production environments in MicroStrategy Cloud Enterprise

SYMPTOM:
Production environments in Strategy Cloud Enterprise are clustered, creating a new Strategy Mobile Configuration will only create this configuration in one of the servers in the cluster causing the configURL to fail sporadically with the error:

Configuration Retrieval Error
​Configuration not found. Please see the log for details.

 
ACTION:
Follow these steps to make sure the Strategy Mobile Configuration is set up in both environments and works properly.

1. Logon to Strategy Mobile Administration Site. Contact Strategy Technical Support if credentials are required. 
2. Create the mobile configuration and note the name of the new configuration.
3. Open a Technical Support ticket providing the name of the new configuration, to copy the recently created mobile configuration into the second server.
4. Provide a time for a Web Server restart. The servers must be restarted for the new configuration to work properly.

 
Notes:

• This is not required for non-Production environments since those are not clustered and all requests are handled by a single server.
• Copying the Mobile Configuration to the second server has to be done by Strategy Technical Support to make sure the configuration ID's are equal in both servers.
