KB46433: Conditional formatting is not applied to textboxes configured to be Edit Links that pass prompt answers dynamically in MicroStrategy Web 9.4.1.

SYMPTOM:
Conditional formatting fails to be applied to textboxes that have been configured with Edit Links to "pass prompt answers dynamically" in Strategy Web 9.4.1. Configuring the edit links to any other mode of prompt answering methods allows for the conditional formatting to be applied correctly.
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

• Create a prompt on Elements of Region.
• Create a report with the Region attribute and the prompt created in Step 1.
• Create a report with solely the Region attribute.
• Create a target document off of the prompted report.
• Create a source document off of the unprompted report, using the "Blank document" template.
• Insert a panel stack onto the document.
• Insert a textbox onto the panel stack.
• Insert a selector sourced with Region that targets the panel stack.
  Note: configure the selector to allow "All" selections.
• Create a count metric on "Region".
• Configure conditional formatting on the textbox to replace the text if "Count Region > 1".
  
  

• Configure the textbox to be Edit Links from the source document to the target document.
• Configure the Edit Links to dynamically answer the prompt on the target document.
  

• Execute the document.
  
  

• Note: The conditional formatting is not applied, even though the condition was met.
   
• Configure the Edit Links to prompt the user when using link.
  
  

• Execute the document.
  
  

 
CAUSE:
This is a known issue with Strategy Web 9.4.1.
 
ACTION:
Contact Strategy Technical Support regarding this issue.
 
WORKAROUND:
As stated above, the conditional formatting will be applied to Edit Links configured to resolve the prompts on the target document in any other way, besides for "Answer dynamically".
