When editing the name of a derived metric (or any other such object), in a Visual Insight document, the name changes on the visualization itself, and the grid panel, but not in the "Dataset Objects" panel, in MicroStrategy Web 9.4.1.

SYMPTOM:

When editing the name of a derived metric (or any other such object), in a Visual Insight document, the name changes on the visualization itself, and the grid panel, but not in the "Dataset Objects" panel:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Create a VI grid and create a derived metric
2. Add it to the grid
3. Rename the metric in dataset object panel. The name is updated automatically in other panels
4. Rename the metric again in grid panel. Only the grid is updated and the dataset object panel keeps the same name

CAUSE:

This is an expected behavior: when renaming a derived metric (or any attribute/metric) in the grid drop zone, it is adding an object alias on this grid template, and it is only affecting this grid. Whereas, when renaming the derived metric from dataset panel, it is modifying the object name, so it is reflected everywhere.
