KB46593: The Metric Slider Selector with Rank function does not update automatically when the number of attribute elements change in target grid for report services document in MicroStrategy Web

SYMPTOM:
 
The Metric Slider Selector with Rank function does not update automatically when the number of attribute elements change in target grid for report services document in Strategy Web 9.4.1.
 
Follow the steps below to reproduce the issue in Tutorial project:

• Create a report "R" with Category, Quarter and Cost.
• Create a report services document using report "R" and add the dataset to grid.
• Insert a Metric Slider Selector. In Properties and Formatting of selector, set "Cost" as source and set "Rank highest" for "Qualify on".
• Run in Interactive mode. Drag the slider to filter Top 10 as below:
   
  

• Remove "Quarter" from grid. There are only 4 elements left in grid but the slider still display as "Rank Top 10", as below:
   
  

 
CAUSE:
 
This is a known issue in report services document with Strategy Web 9.4.1.
