The error "The map credentials/key could not be authenticated Please contact your administrator to resolve this issue" is thrown after deploying ESRI Map in MicroStrategy Analytics Enterprise.

SYMPTOM:
After deploying the ESRI Map plugin in Strategy Analytics Enterprise 9.4.1 and attempting to display an ESRI Map, the following error is thrown:

The map credentials / key could not be authenticated. Please contact your administrator to resolve this issue.

 
CAUSE:
In Strategy Analytics Enterprise 9.4.1 and above, ESRI requires activation. One possible cause of this error is that  the ESRI has not been activated or the key has not been applied correctly.
 
ACTION:
In order to correctly activate ESRI  follow the steps outlined in the following Technical Document:
