In MicroStrategy Web 9.4.1, custom group selector does not have the custom group elements, while in 9.3.1 the selector has elements listed.
SUMMARY

This issue has been classified as a defect by MicroStrategy. The impact is limited to MicroStrategy Web 9.4.1 Custom Group selectors. There is no workaround available.

SYMPTOM:

In MicroStrategy Web 9.4.1, custom group selector does not have the custom group elements, while in 9.3.1 the selector have elements listed.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1. In MicroStrategy 9.3.1 Desktop/Web, create a custom group based on Month with two custom group elements (Jan 2010 to Jun 2010 and Jan 2011 to Jun 2011).

  1. Create a report with only the 'MonthCustomGroup' and name it Report_2.
  2. Create another report with Month attribute and a few metrics.
  3. Create a document in MicroStrategy Web and add both reports as datasets.
  4. In the new document, create a panel stack (Insert menu > Panel Stack) and place it in the Detail Header section of the document.
  5. Drag Report_1 to the new Panel Stack.
  6. Create a new drop-down selector (Insert > Selector > Drop-Down) and drag the 'MonthCustomGroup' into it

Ensure the Pane Stack is selected as a target for the selector.

Run the Document and notice the selector shows both custom group elements and the All selection.

Repeat steps 1 - 9 in MicroStrategy Web 9.4.1 and notice the selector does NOT display the custom group elements, but only the 'All'. The same behavior applies to consolidations as well.
