KB46761: Nulls are returned for derived transformation metrics after drilled at second time in MicroStrategy 9.4.1

SYMPTOM:
In Developer, a transformation metric is created within a report. However, when performing a second drill, this derived transformation metric will return empty value in grid.

 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
The steps below are performed in Strategy Developer 9.4.1 within Tutorial project.

• Create a report with Year and Profit.
• Run report. Right mouse click metric Profit and select Insert -> Transformations -> Last Year's -> Normal. The newly derived metric will show up in the grid named with "Last Year's (Profit)".
  

• Drill from Year down to Month.
   
  

• In the drilled report, keep drill from Month down to Day. Notice that the metric "Last Year's(Profit)" show empty value in the grid after this drill.
   
  

 
CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy 9.4.1.
ACTION:
The issue has been fixed in Strategy 9.4.1 Hotfix 3. Upgrade to this version to take advantage of the fix.
