This application requires iOS 7.0 or later. You must update to iOS 7.0 in order to download and use this application.
NOTE: This message is only received when a user's Apple account is downloading the Strategy Mobile application for the
first time.
CAUSE:This is working as designed by Apple. As of Strategy Mobile 9.4.1 iOS Update 2, the device hosting the application is required to be on iOS 7 or newer. Refer to the Strategy 9.4.1 iOS Update ReadMe for more details. Strategy has enabled the ability for Apple users to download the latest compatible version of the application if their iOS version is not compatible with the latest Strategy version. However, this setting only comes into play when updating the application or re-downloading the application. If the user's Apple account is downloading the application for the first time, this setting does not come into play and Apple requires the download of the latest application available. Since Strategy 9.4.1 iOS Update 2 and higher require iOS 7, the application will not download.
Apple official statement:
“Previous versions of your apps are now available for re-download by users
who have already purchased them, allowing customers to use your apps with older devices which may no longer be supported by the current version of your app. If you do not wish to make these versions available, you can manage the availability of your apps' previous versions in the Rights and Pricing section of the Manage Your Apps module in iTunes Connect.”
This information can be found on the Apple website at
https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=9182013a.
NOTE: This means if a user is updating the application from an iOS 6 device which has
downloaded a previous version of the app before, Apple will allow the download of Strategy 9.4.1 iOS Update 1 application onto that device. 9.4.1 iOS Update 1 is the last app compatible with iOS 6.
ACTION:Update to iOS 7 to be able to download the latest version of the Strategy Mobile application.
WORKAROUND:If updating to iOS 7 is not an option, it will be necessary to recompile the application and distribute using an Enterprise Deployment as outlined in
KB37803: What is the recommended method for MicroStrategy Mobile iOS Application deployment?
