SYMPTOM:
Strategy Analytics Desktop users might encounter the following error when creating an ESRI Map VIsualization:

com.Strategy.utils.cache.CacheException: Unable to tunnel through proxy. Proxy returns "HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Authorization Required"
In the above machine the proxy configuration was set up correctly as explained in KB45900 How to configure proxy settings to activate MicroStrategy Analytics Desktop 9.4.1.3 when using a proxy server" . Additionally the machine has version 9.4.1.4 Strategy Analytics Desktop which now supports the proxy configuration for ESRI Maps.
CAUSE:
Strategy Analytics Desktop 9.4.1 does not support proxy servers that require authentication. An enhancement request has been logged to support basic proxy authentication for ESRI Map Visualizations.
ACTION:
This Enhancement has been addressed in the Strategy Analytics Desktop 9.4.1.7 release
