This KB addresses an issue seen when trying to access a project login page.

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web 9.4.1 Hotfix 3, the following error message appears when selecting a project to access the login page:


TypeError: "Unable to set value of the property 'src': object is null or undefined"

When checking the Strategy Web MSTRLogxxxxxxxx_x.log file, the following entry is observed:

Comparing the mentioned xxx/xxx/xxx/LoginXHTMLLayout.xml file structure to the default one that is created by default during the first installation, there is no difference between both of them in terms of structure.

CAUSE:
A possible cause for this issue is the installation of Strategy Analytics 9.4.1 Hotfix 3 that was not concluded with success. In additional, one more detail that endorses this possibility is the fact that the ASP.Net version (9.4.1 Hotfix 3 - Build 9.4.1080.0019) is older than the XML API version (9.4.1 GA - Build 9.4.1010.0103J) , as shown:

Same Version for both ASP.Net and XML API - Expected

ACTION:
Uninstall Strategy Analytics 9.4.1 Hotfix 3, restart the Operating System and install again.
