KB47074: "terminate called after throwing an instance of 'MBase::ExceptionImpl<MBase::Message>'" error message is returned when trying to run an outline in MicroStrategy Command Manager through Terminal as a non-root user in Linux.

SYMPTOM:
 
In Strategy 9.x and 10.x, if a user tries to run a command through Command Manager in Terminal (command line) they can receive the following error message:
 

$ /path/to/mstrshellscript.sh terminate called after throwing an instance of 
'MBase::ExceptionImpl<MBase::Message>' /var/opt/MicroStrategy/bin/mstrcmdmgr: 
line 48: 11015 Aborted (core dumped) java -Xms256m -Xmx2048m -classpath 
"${MSTR_CLASS_PATH:?}" com.Strategy.macmdmgr.commandline.CommandLine "$@"

 
 
Running any command with the root user works fine.
 
CAUSE:
 
This is a permissions issue. The non-root user running Command Manager does not have all permissions required in order to successfully read, write, and execute to the files within the main Strategy directory.
 
ACTION:
 
Grant read, write, and execute privileges for the \var\opt\Strategy folder to the non-root user running Command Manager through Terminal.
