SYMPTOM:
When attempting to create a new file address in Strategy Web the following error message may be encountered:
CAUSE:
The issue is caused if the device specified already has a file location and the option to "Allow and append user entered path" is checked. This option appends the entered address value(\\test-machine\test) to the location already on this device which is not a valid location.
ACTION:
Uncheck the option to "Allow and append user entered path" under Strategy Developer > Administration > Delivery Manager > Devices for the file location device as shown below:
