KB47119: How to grant Configuration permission for Server Definition for a user for MicroStrategy Intelligence Server 9.x

SUMMARY:
 
This document provides steps to grant a user to access to "Project Configuration" of some projects while restricting the user to access other projects loaded in the same server.
 
When an administrator user need to be defined such way that the user can edit Project Configuration of a specific project, but unable to access other projects also loaded on the same Intelligence Server, follow the steps below to grant "Configuration" privilege.
 
STEPS: 

• Login to 3-tier project source as Administrator.
• Right mouse click on the project source and select "Configure Strategy Intelligence Server."
• Go to Server Definition > General. (note: This is selected by default).
• Click on "Modify" button.
  

• Grant configuration for the user who should have privilege to edit Project Configuration.
   
  

• Make sure to revoke the privilege to access other project by modifying the project level ACL by go to Project Configuration > General > Modify.
