How to apply a metric limit to a report in MicroStrategy Developer 9.x

To apply a metric limit to a report in Strategy Developer 9.x, execute the following steps:

  • Open the report in the Report Editor
  • From the 'Data' menu, select 'Report Data Options'.

  • From the 'Report Data Options' editor that opens, go to the Report Limit tab and click on 'Modify'.

  • The Report Limit Editor opens. Select the metric on which to set the limit, by dragging the metric from the left frame to the top-right.

  • Specify the nature of the metric limit from the lower-right section of the editor and click 'OK'.
  • Click 'Save and Close' to exit the Report Limit Editor.
  • Click 'OK' again to exit the Report Data Options editor.

 
The report will now have the metric limit applied to it.
