KB47461: "Drag and Drop" functionality between the report objects window and the grid template in MicroStrategy Developer 9.x does not allow objects to be moved.

SYMPTOM:
Users cannot drag and drop Strategy schema objects from report objects window to grids in report template and vice versa.  As of now this is only machine specific, not metadata specific.
CAUSE:
This behavior has been observed in Strategy Developer 9.x. It occurs randomly only in some machines.
WORKAROUND:
Although this is not guaranteed to work there are two workarounds that have been known to resolve this issue.

• When dragging the object from the report objects window to the grid, while it's clicked, drag first it to the left and then to the right to place on the grid.
• After the object is selected, hold it in place for a few seconds before trying to drag it on the grid.
