"Method '~' of object '~' failed" error message appears when executing document with custom subtotal that contains 'nulltozero' functions in MicroStrategy 9.4.1.

SYMPTOM:

When running a document in Strategy 9.4.1 the following error may occur:


Method '~' of object '~' failed

This occurs when the document has a custom subtotal that contains the 'nulltozero' function. The underlying report that is used in the document executes accordingly without the error message. Below is an example of what the custom subtotal can look like.

CAUSE:

This is a known issue in Strategy 9.4.1.

ACTION:

This issue has been addressed in Strategy 9.4.1 Hotfix 5. Upgrade to this version to take advantage of the fix.
