KB47536: "Error loading configuration" error occurs when applying configuration URL for tablet on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" using MicroStrategy Mobile for Android 9.4.1

This document discusses about a known issue on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 that the "Error loading configuration" error occurs when applying configuration URL.

SYMPTOM
When applying the the mobile configuration URL for Android tablet on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7", the following error message is displayed:

Error loading configuration.

The configuration does not correspond to the device type. Contact your administrator to obtain a new configuration. The application will revert to the existing configuration.

The configuration was created using Strategy Mobile Administrator. When creating the configuration a device type must be selected. In this case, the selected device type is tablet.

CAUSE
This is a known issue with Strategy Mobile for Android 9.4.1

ACTION
Contact Strategy Technical Support for an update on this issue.

WORKAROUND
Instead of device type "Tablet" select device type "Phone". The configuration can be applied correctly.
