SYMPTOM
 Cached database connections for the statistics tables are not invalidated when the connection idle timeout reached.
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE

• Configure the timeout settings for the connection cashing in the database connection for the statistics tables as shown in the image below:
  

• Make sure not to mainpulate on Strategy so that none of the record is written to the statistics tables.
• Note that the caches connection is invalided in 40 seconds which is the connection life time as shown below:

• New connection is created once the connection is deleted.

CAUSE
The cached connection is picked up every 10 seconds because Intelligence Server writes the statistics records in a buffer. The connection idle timeout set to more than 10 seconds is not triggered.
 
ACTION
There is no action required as this is working as designed.
