The following error message is encountered when executing an MDX report against Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) in MicroStrategy 9.x. Error: SQL Generation CompleteQueryEngine encountered error: XMLA Execute failed. SOAP Error. Error type: XMLA error. XMLAError:: Tag mismatch. The following error message is encountered when executing an MDX report against Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) in Strategy 9.x.


Error: SQL Generation CompleteQueryEngine encountered error: XMLA Execute failed. SOAP Error.


Error type: XMLA error. XMLAError:: Tag mismatch. CAUSE:
One possible cause for this error is a shortage of memory on the Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services server. To confirm, the resource usage on the Analysis Services server can be monitored followed by issue reproduction.

ACTION:
As the issue on the data source end, provide the following error code to the Database Administrator of the Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services server.
