KB47694: Users are not able to add content to panel stacks in a multi-layout document in MicroStrategy Web 9.4.1 when using Internet Explorer 11.

SYMPTOM:
 
When using Internet Explorer 11 and trying to add content to a panel stack in a multi-layout document in Strategy Web 9.4.1, the "Add Content" drop down displays blank.
 

 
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Open the Strategy Tutorial Project in a Strategy Web 9.4.1 environment in IE 11.
2. Create a New Document > Blank Dashboard.
3. Insert a new layout in the document.
4. Select "Blank Dashboard".
5. In Layout 2, select the "Add Content" drop down menu from the panel stack's top left corner.

CAUSE:
 
This is a known issue in Strategy Web 9.4.1, and is specific to Internet Explorer 11.
 
ACTION:
 
This issue has been fixed in 9.4.1 Hotfix 5 Patch 2. Please contact Strategy Technical support for further details.
 
WORKAROUND:
 
There are two workarounds for this issue:

1. Since this issue in IE 11 specific, any other supported browser.
2. Use the "Insert" drop down menu from the toolbar and drag the content into the panel stack, instead of using the "Add Content" drop down menu.
