KB47720: Dynamic Sourcing is not enabled with "CMI_INCOMPATIBLE_DATA_TYPES_IN_FILTER" error in MicroStrategy 10.x

SYMPTOM:
It is not possible to enable Dynamic Sourcing and an  “CMI_INCOMPATIBLE_DATA_TYPES_IN_FILTER” error occurs.
An example of  the report SQL view:
 

select a11.year_id year_id,
sum(a11.TOT_COST) WJXBFS1
from YR_CATEGORY_SLS a11
where a11.year_id = '2014'
group by a11.year_id

Report is ineligible for Dynamic Sourcing ...
Error Code: CMI_INCOMPATIBLE_DATA_TYPES_IN_FILTER

 
However, the Form format is set as Text.
 

 
 
ACTION:

• Correct the Form format Type and update schema. In this scenario, Number is the expected Type. 
  

• Update schema
• Re-define the filter, because updating the Form format Type does not change the filter behavior. Now the report is eligible for Dynamic Sourcing with following SQL. The single quote in the WHERE clause is eliminated and this qualification is regarded as a number.

select a11.year_id year_id,
sum(a11.TOT_COST) WJXBFS1
from YR_CATEGORY_SLS a11
where a11.year_id = 2014
group by a11.year_id
