KB47738: "Error in report results. Your request could not be processed due to a server error." error message appears when enabling report objects panel before a condition in view filter is finished and changing "Select" to "Qualify" in MicroStrategy Web

SYMPTOM:
 
"Error in report results. Your request could not be processed due to a server error." and "Incorrect edit mode : 1" error message appears when enabling report objects panel before a condition in view filter is finished and changing "Select" in the condition to "Qualify" in Strategy Web 9.3.1.
 
Follow the following steps to reproduce the issue in Tutorial project:

•  In Strategy Web, create a report with Category and Subcategory in row, Cost and Profit in column. Save it.
•  Enable View filter panel and click to add condition. Choose Category, but do not apply any condition now.
•  From Tools menu, enable Report Objects panel.
•  In view filter, change the previous non-defined Category condition from "Select" to "Qualify".Then an error message shows up as below:
   
  

CAUSE:
 
This is a known issue with Strategy Web 9.3.1.
 
ACTION:
 
Strategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.
