Strategy Analytics Enterprise 9.4.1 ships a new driver to connect to Cloudera Impala. This driver can be used as an alternative to ODBC drivers provided by Cloudera to connect to Impala environments which don't use Kerberos.
This driver can be seen on the Windows ODBC Administrator as shown below:
Users can now create DSNs to connect to Impala using the Strategy Connectivity Configuration Wizard as shown below.
When connecting to a secure Cloudera Impala environment, the Strategy ODBC Driver for Impala Wire Protocol cannot be used. Users should use the required Cloudera ODBC driver (V2.0 or V2.5) in such a case. Refer to the following Strategy Knowledge Base documents for additional information:
