KB47801: "This application has failed to start because libatk-1.0-0.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem" error message appears when installing MicroStrategyR package in MicroStrategy 9.x

When installing the MicroStrategyR package in MicroStrategy 9.x, the following error message may be seen: "This application has failed to start because libatk-1.0-0.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem".

 
SYMPTOM:
When installing the StrategyR package in Strategy 9.x and newer version, the following error message may be seen.

This application has failed to start because libatk-1.0-0.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem

 
CAUSE:
 
The StrategyR package depends on other R packages for graphics as well as the GTK+ graphical environment. The absence of the GTK+ graphical environment is common and can cause the display of error messages, such as messages that mention missing DLL files.
 
ACTION:
Click to dismiss any error messages encountered due to these missing requirements. When prompted, accept the installation of the GTK+ graphical environment to complete the Strategy R Package installation.
