KB47843: How to setup connectivity to IBM InfoSphere BigInsights 3.0 on Windows in MicroStrategy Analytics Enterprise 10.x

IBM InfoSphere BigInsights is certified as a warehouse in Strategy Analytics Enterprise 10.x. Refer to the following Strategy Knowledge Base document for details on the original certification:

1) Download the IBM Data Server Driver Package
2) Install the IBM Data Server Driver Package
3) Create the file db2cli.ini in the following location:
C:\ProgramData\IBM\DB2\IBMDBCL1\cfg
this file should contain the following:
 

Database=Database_name
Hostname=server_name
Port=51000
UID=biadmin

 
4) In the ODBC Data source Administrator click on "Add"
5) Select the driver installed
6) On the "Data source name" type the same name you used as DSN_NAME in the db2cli.ini file and click "Add"
7) Provide the required user name and password and press "OK"
