This knowledge base article explans why "User 'xxx' has not been granted "use Integrity Manager" privilege for project 'xxx' or may not have correct license" error message appears when trying to do a project vs. project comparison between different versions of Integrity Manager.

SYMPTOM:

A Strategy non administrator user is performing a Project versus Project integrity test in Strategy Integrity Manager between two different versions of Strategy.  In this example, the two versions are 9.2.1 and 9.4.1 and when the user tries to log into the 9.2.1 Intelligence Server, the following error is received:

User XXX has not been granted "Use Integrity Manager" privilege from project 'XXX' or may not have the correct license. Please contact the Administrator.

CAUSE:

This is working as designed as the error is caused by the user does not have the proper privilege "Use Integrity Manager" (Integrity Manager license) to run Integrity Manager in the 9.2.1 environment. In order to perform a Project versus Project Integrity Manager test, the user should have the privilege in both environments.

ACTION:

Grant the user the "Use Integrity Manager" privilege.
