KB47886: Error message "Key: SOFTWARE\MicroStrategy\DSS Suite\DSS Web, NamedValue: HomePath class XXX- Key not found" showed in the JVM Maximum Heap Size system check in MicroStrategy Health Center 9.x and 10.x

SYMPTOM:
In Health Center 9.4.1, under Strategy Mobile ASPx, when system check "JVM Maximum Heap Size" is executed, error message shows as below:


Error running assess on “Strategy Mobile ASPx: JVM Maximum Heap Size” Registry Root: 3, Key: SOFTWARE\Strategy\DSS Suite\DSS Web, NamedValue: HomePath class
com.Strategy.utils.registry.RegistryException: RegistrySubKeys::OpenSubKey – Key not found

CAUSE:
When the machine has only Strategy Mobile installed, the Registry Key: SOFTWARE\Strategy\DSS Suite\DSS Web doesn’t exist.
This is a known issue in Strategy 9.4.1. Key “DSS Web” registers when Web component is installed.

ACTION:
Strategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.

WORKAROUND:
Manually import “DSS Web” key from other working machine:

Go to machine which installed Web component, exported Key "DSS Web";
Path for 32-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Strategy\DSS Suite\DSS Web
Path for 64-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Strategy\DSS Suite\DSS Web
Import the key into affected machine.
