KB47927: "Missing shortcut. Windows is searching for DEMOMOVER.exe. To locate the file yourself, click Browse" error when launching MicroStrategy Project Mover Wizard 9.4.1 HF4

SYMPTOM:
When launching Strategy Project Mover Wizard 9.4.1 HF4 on a Windows machine, the following error is found:


"Missing shortcut. Windows is searching for DEMOMOVER.exe. To locate the file yourself, click Browse"

Then, after some seconds, the following informative message shows up:


Problem with Shortcut. The item 'DEMOMOVER.EXE' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to delete this shortcut?

CAUSE:
In this particular case, it was found that Strategy Common Files was modified with the Strategy Analytics Enterprise 9.4.1 GA installation files after installing Strategy Hotfix 4, causing a possible corruption of the DEMOMOVER.EXE file.

ACTION:
For this specific case, the following steps were applied:

Uninstall Strategy Hotfix 4
Restart Operating System
Repair Strategy Analytics Enterprise 9.4.1 GA installation
Restart Operating System
Reinstall Strategy Hotfix 4
