This knowledge base article describes how to use edit links on ESRI Maps executed in Flash view mode in MicroStrategy 9.4.1.

In Strategy Web 9.4.1 HF4, the Edit Links function is available on an ESRI map to link to another report or document in Flash view. To setup the Edit Links function in ESRI, follow the steps below.

  • Create a source report or document with an ESRI map widget.
  • Create a target report or document.
  • Edit the source report or document.
  • Right-click the Geo Attribute to open Edit Links.

  • Select the target report or document to run from the Edit Links.
  • Run the source report or document.
  • Enable the 'Mouse click selection' icon.

  • Make a selection on the ESRI map.
  • Click on the 'Drill' icon.

  • Notice the target report or document will now open.

Note: If the target report or document is prompted the selected value will be passed for an element prompt.
