KB48071: "object variable or with block variable not set" error message appears when modifying an advanced filter qualification in MicroStrategy Developer 9.x

SYMPTOM:
 
When trying to modify an advanced filter qualification in Strategy Developer 9.x, the below error message appears.
 

Object variable or with block variable not set 

• Create an attribute element list prompt called "Choose from a list of Regions"
• Create a new advanced filter qualification with custom expression "Region In ?"
  

• The error will show after the user clicks OK to save the qualification and then tries to edit it:
  

 
CAUSE:
 
This is a known issue in Strategy Developer 9.x.
 
ACTION:
 
Contact Strategy Technical Support for an update on this issue.
 
WORKAROUND:
 
Remove the existing advanced qualification and create a new one.
