KB48079: "CommonLinuxHomePathchecksum.log does not exist" exception error appears when installing MicroStrategy 9.4.1 and newer on Linux environments.

SYMPTOM:
During a Linux installation of Strategy 9.4.1 and newer, the following error is received.
 

java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException:  <install_directory>/CommonLinuxHomePathchecksum.log does not exist.

CAUSE:
The cause is unknown.
However, the effects are:

• no rollback is performed
• installation files become corrupted

ACTION:
The 2 alternatives once this error has been hit:

1. Install directly from the data files
2. Start a new installation in the server
