When deploying Strategy 2019 or a previous version of StrategyLibrary.war in WebLogic, the deployment fails with the following error message:

This may occur because an older version of Spring Framework is installed as a WebLogic system extension. The older version takes precedence over Spring Framework 5.05, which is included in the StrategyLibrary.war file during the java class loading process.
When examining the directories in your WebLogic installation, such as
{InstallationDirectory}/oracle_common/modules/ or {InstallationDirectory}/user_projects/domains/base_domain/lib/, you will likely find one or more jar files containing an older version of Spring Framework. These classes are loaded at the System:WebLogicExtension level during the class loading process. To resolve the error, modify the WEB-INF\weblogic.xml file in Strategy Library to include the Spring Framework as follows:
<wls:package-name>org.springframework.*</wls:package-name>

This causes the Spring Framework 5.05 classes in the war StrategyLibrary.war file to load in preference to the older Spring Framework library installed at the system level. After this change, it's recommended to delete the folder in WebLogic and reinstall it to ensure the change takes place.
Note: Do not restart the WebLogic server after this change, as there is a bug in WebLogic 12 where the preferred application package settings in weblogic.xml are not honored upon server restart for applications that are already installed. Restarting the WebLogic server can cause the same error to resurface even though the contents of weblogic.xml is correct.
If the WebLogic server is restarted and the same issue is encountered, please delete and reinstall the app with the same changes made to weblogic.xml to resolve the issue.
