KB484284: Errors cannot show up completely when connecting to Snowflake Database with the bundled Snowflake driver in Linux

Errors cannot show up completely when connecting to Snowflake Database with the bundled Snowflake driver in Linux

Symptom:
When connecting to Snowflake Database with the driver bundled with Product, if user accidently entered the incorrect connection info, errors returned by Snowflake driver cannot show up completely. Instead, errors like “An error occurred while attempting to retrieve the error message for key 'SFRestRequestFailed' and component ID 102: Could not open error message files - Check that "/opt/MicroStrategy/lib/snowflake_odbc/lib/en-US/SFMessages.xml" or "/opt/MicroStrategy/lib/snowflake_odbc/lib/SFMessages_en-US.xml" exists and are accessible. MessageParameters=["https://Strategy.snowflakecomputing:443/session/v1/login-request?requestId=974034bc-2cea-4a45-944d-82050318cd08&request_guid=084c33df-87be-42cc....”

Cause:
The snowflake ErrorMessage files are placed in the different directory other than the default directory which is hard-coded in the driver.

Workaround:
Create a symbolic link under the default directory that points to the real ErrorMessage files.
For example, the real ErrorMessages files are placed under:
/opt/MicroStrategy/lib/snowflake_odbc/ErrorMessages/en-US
We can run command like below:
ln -s /opt/MicroStrategy/lib/snowflake_odbc/ErrorMessages/en-US /opt/MicroStrategy/lib/snowflake_odbc/lib/en-US
