In order to investigate and debug the driver related issue, we need to enable the snowflake driver at debug level.
User can edit the registry file entries (highlighted) like below:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Snowflake]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Snowflake\Driver]
"LogLevel"="6"
"LogPath"="C:\\PATH_TO_LOG"
"LogNamespace"=""
"DriverManagerEncoding"="UTF-8"
"DriverLocale"="en-US"
"ErrorMessagesPath"="C:\\PATH_TO_ErrorMessages"
"CURLVerboseMode"="true"
"CABundleFile"="C:\\PATH_TO_cacert.pem"
User can create a configuration file, named as “simba.snowflake.ini” in the same folder as the libSnowflake.so
For example:
$ cd $MSTR_HOME
$ find , -iname "libSnowflake.so"
/opt/MicroStrategy/lib/snowflake_odbc/lib/libSnowflake.so
$ mv simba.snowflake.ini /opt/MicroStrategy/lib/snowflake_odbc/lib
This simba.snowflake.ini configuration file shall at least contain below entries:
[Driver]
LogNamespace=
LogPath=<PATH_TO_LOG>
CURLVerboseMode=true
LogLevel=6
Then reproduce the issue and collect the logs. Then provide the log to Strategy Supports.
Note: Please also be aware, in Windows, since all Snowflake drivers would share the same registry key, user needs to manually clear the driver log before reproduce the issue using the shipped driver.
