Description

The Strategy for Office add-in does not load when using Microsoft Office online in Internet Explorer 11.

Why is this happening?

An update to Microsoft's Office API can cause issues with Internet Explorer 11 that prevents starting the Strategy for Office add-in. We are currently in touch with Microsoft regarding a fix for this issue. In the meantime, you can use the workaround in the next section. 

Workaround

The user/administrator needs to change the script being used to load the Microsoft Excel API.

• Navigate to your tomcat webapps folder on your web server.
• Navigate to /StrategyLibrary/static/loader-mstr-office/index.html.
• Open the index.html file in your preferred text editor, such as Notepad++, Visual Studio Code, etc.
• Locate the following line:

  to:
  
  
  It should look like:
  

• Save the file.
  
• Close Internet Exploer.
  
• Start Microsoft Office. The Strategy for Office add-in should now work. Depending on your browser settings, you may need to clear your cache.
