Muna Abdi Yussuf

Product Manager • Strategy

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
This article is a notice of changes to the certifications scope for Strategy ONE.

Strategy is dedicated to providing our customers with the most trusted and secure enterprise analytics platform by leveraging the latest and most secure technologies with Strategy's suite of products for enhanced performance, stability, and security. In pursuit of this effort, changes have been made to the supported configurations for Strategy ONE.

This article is a notice of upcoming changes to the support matrix for third-party software that will update in 2023. The majority of third-party components that will no longer be supported are past or will shortly be past their end-of-life dates. In some cases, configurations that will be incompatible as a result of third party software upgrades or those that are relatively "underutilized" by Strategy customers were also deprecated to prioritize other certifications.

The following configurations are no longer supported in Strategy ONE Update 8:

  • Federated Analytics Connectors
    • Office 2016 for Mac

  • Operating Systems
    • MacOS Catalina>
    • Windows 10 Update 21H1
    • Android 9.x
    • iOS 14

The following configurations will no longer be supported in Strategy ONE Update 10 and later:

  • Operating Systems
    • RHEL 7.x
    • Amazon Linux 2
    • Oracle Linux 7.x
    • CentOS 7.x
    • Windows 10 Update 20H2
    • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12.x
    • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15.2 and lower

Note: The Strategy ONE platform leverages Node.js v16. To ensure continued platform security, stability, and performance, Strategy will upgrade from Node.js v16 to Node.js v18 in Update 10 (scheduled for June 2023), due to Node.js v16's upcoming end of life date in September 2023. The implication of upgrading to Node.js v18 is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, CentOS 7, Oracle Linux 7, Amazon Linux 2, SUSE 12 and SUSE 15.2 and lower will not be compatible and will no longer be supported.

The following configurations will no longer be supported in Strategy Update 11 and later:

  • Operating Systems
    • Android 10.x
  • Repositories
    • MySQL 5.7.x
    • PostgreSQL 11.x

The following configurations will no longer be supported in Strategy updates later in 2023:

  • JDKs
    • Java 11

Note: The Strategy ONE platform leverages AdoptOpenJDK 11. To ensure continued platform security, stability, and performance, Strategy will upgrade from Java 11 to Java 17 in the second half of 2023 or early 2024.
You can view the comprehensive list of all certified configurations across all supported Strategy platforms in the Certifications Dossier in Strategy Library.
