KB485944: SQL/CSI changes for dossiers based on multiple datasets with the primary dataset in Connect Live mode

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.

Symptom

SQL/CSI change might happen for dossiers with multiple datasets when following conditions are met:

1. The Primary dataset of a visualization is a Connect Live dataset.
2. Not all attributes on the visualization come from the primary dataset.
3. There is at least one attribute link created between the primary dataset and another dataset.
4. The dossier contains a complicated filter set which has a filter expression pattern similar as the following example:

(AttributeA1 in {a1,a2,…} OR   AttributeB in {b1,b2,…}) AND (AttributeC in {c1,c2,…})  AND (AttributeA2 in {a1,a2,…})
In the filter set above, AttributeA1 and AttributeA2 are linked attributes from different datasets and one of them is from the primary dataset, AttributeB is from a non-primary dataset, and AttributeC is from the primary dataset.
 

Why is this happening?

This is an expected change starting from Strategy 2021 Update 8 with Data Engine Version 2019 because there is an updated logic for processing the complicated filter set mentioned above.
