How to promote end user objects to system level objects using MicroStrategy Administrator - Object Manager

Strategy Administrator - Object Manager provides the capability to promote end user objects to system level objects.

To promote end user objects to system level objects, Administrators need to:

  1. Copy the selected end user object to the appropriate Public Objects subfolder.
  2. For each individual object, the object's Access Control List ( ACL) must be modified to allow the appropriate users access to the object.

To change an object's ACL, right-click on the object and choose Properties. The ACL may then be modified by making the appropriate selections on the Security Tab.

NOTE: If the object's ACL is not changed, only the Administrator and the original end user that created the object will be able to access it.
