This technical article aims to provide detailed insight into resolving the "Invalid operation. Attempted to fetch an empty result" error, which users might encounter on the Amazon Redshift Database after an upgrade to MicroStrategy One March 2024.

Symptom

After upgrading to Strategy ONE March 2024, users encounter ‘Fetch failed. Error type: Invalid operation. Attempted to fetch an empty result.’ error while attempting to run reports. This issue is associated with reports created on Amazon Redshift Database.

Cause

After investigation, the root cause of this issue was identified to be a defect in Amazon Redshift Driver. The Driver version responsible for this error is 8.00.2183. A malfunction in performing database operations with this specific driver version results in fetching an empty result, thereby triggering the error message.

Solution
