Change Overview
To enhance the security and reliability of Strategy's email system, starting in Strategy ONE (September 2024), DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) and Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC) records will be implemented. These protocols are vital to prevent spam and phishing attacks by verifying that only authorized senders can use the "Strategy.com" domain for email communications. Currently, on-premise users that use the default configuration of Strategy send all emails using "distributionservices@Strategy.com", which impersonates the Strategy domain.

Email Address Update
The default email address used by Strategy Distribution Services for subscriptions will be updated from "distributionservices@Strategy.com" to "no-reply@yourdomain.com".
Reason for the Update
This update is a part of Strategy's security enhancements to comply with DKIM and DMARC protocols and ensure that the Strategy domain is not misused to send unauthorized emails.
Impact on Strategy Users
- Email notifications: All system-generated email notifications that originate from the Strategy platform will now originate from "no-reply@yourdomain.com". Strategy strongly encourages users to update this email address to an email address from their domain.
- No reply capability: As the new email address suggests, the default value of the email address does not accept incoming emails. Strategy advises users to update the appropriate email address for any queries or if users want to receive replies.
Actions Required by Strategy Users
- Update whitelists: Users who have "distributionservices@Strategy.com" whitelisted in their email filters should update their settings and whitelist "no-reply@yourdomain.com" or their custom configured email address to ensure users continue to receive system notifications.
- Update email rules: Any email rules or filters that are configured based on the previous email address should be updated to reflect the new email address.
