KB486863: "PrivilegeType 301 is not valid privilege type" error appears when editing a user privileges in MicroStrategy Workstation

Symptom

When editing a user or user group privileges with Strategy Workstation, the following error appears and the privileges are not displayed:

Error Message: 'PrivilegeType 301 is not valid privilege type' Library Server Error Code: 'ERR001'

Steps to Reproduce

1. Log in an environment in Strategy Workstation.
   
2. Access the Users and Groups blade.
   
3. Edit any user; the error message will appear. Privilege type 301 corresponds to "Add KPI to Insights".
    
   

Cause

This type of error usually occurs when the Intelligence Server and the other Strategy products, such as Strategy Library, are not in the same version.
In this particular instance, the Intelligence Server was in the latest version whereas Strategy Library was in a version prior to the release of the privilege mentioned in the error message.

Action

Make sure the Intelligence Server and Strategy Library Server versions are aligned.
