KB487083: Font Setting Do Not Apply for Metric Values with Thresholds in Grid on Dashboards

Cleeva D'Souza

Senior Cloud Support Engineer II • Strategy

This technical article explains why font settings such as font type and size do not apply universally when a grid on a dashboard has thresholds defined.

Symptom

When users attempt to format the grid values on Dashboards, specifically applying font size settings, the adjustments are not consistently applied to all rows. In particular, rows with a defined threshold and marked in red in below screenshot remain unaffected by the font size changes.

Cause
This behavior occurs because the thresholds have font sizes set under the Threshold > Format setting. These threshold-specific settings override the font settings applied to the entire grid values.

Solution

To ensure that the font settings are applied uniformly across all rows, remove the font size setting from the threshold font format. This action allows the grid's overall font settings to take precedence.
