End users accessing content via the Public Data connector may see a server error due to Wikimedia blocking requests with certain user-agent headers (effective August 25, 2025; see ticket T400119). The issue will be fixed in the upcoming Strategy One release in September 2025. Until then, affected users should contact the Strategy Support team for help.

Symptom

End users attempting to access content through the Public Data connector may encounter the following error message:

Your request could not be processed due to a server error.
Please set a user-agent and respect our robot policy https://w.wiki/4wJS. See also T400119.

Cause

This issue arises because the wiki has blocked requests with certain user-agent headers since August 25, 2025. For further details, please refer to the Wikimedia ticket T400119.

Solution

This issue is expected to be resolved in the upcoming release of Strategy One, scheduled for September 2025. If users are blocked by the Public Data connector before Strategy One(September 2025), please contact the Strategy Support team for assistance.
