How to assign warehouse table prefixes in the Warehouse Catalog in MicroStrategy Developer 2021
To change or assign table prefixes in the Strategy Developer Warehouse catalog, users must follow the steps below:
Highlight the project, after loading a project in Strategy Developer, and go to Schema > Warehouse catalog, as shown below:
Select the table or tables being used in the project (list in the right window) and right-click to select 'Table Prefix', as shown below:
The following window appears:
Select 'Add' to create the appropriate table prefix for the database, in this example, #$060#&060flibble.#&062#&062 is used as shown below. Ensure that the period (.) is at the end of the prefix.
After clicking on 'OK' for the new table prefix, ensure that the new prefix is highlighted in the Table Prefix dialogue box, as shown below, and click on 'OK' again.
Note that the appropriate table prefix is assigned to the selected tables.
Save and close. Update the schema. The SQL generated for reports now shows the prefix for the selected tables.
