KB5775: 'Maximum number of users per project (50) exceeded while trying to login' error message appears while trying to log into MicroStrategy Web 9.x.

'Maximum number of users per project (50) exceeded while trying to login' error message appears while trying to log into MicroStrategy Web 9.x.

 
SYMPTOM:
When users try to log into Strategy Web they see following error message:

'Maximum number of users per project (50) exceeded while trying to login'
 
CAUSE:
This issue occurs because users reached the maximum number of user sessions set in the Project Configuration.
 
ACTION:
Increase the maximum number of user sessions from Strategy Desktop by executing the following steps:

  1. Log into Strategy Desktop using the Administrator login
  2. Right-click on the project that is being affected and select 'Project Configuration'
  3. Select the 'Governing' > User Sessions
  4. Increase the 'User sessions per project.' The default is set to 500.
